Manchester United vs Brimingham

It was with much anticipation that I awaited MU’s first match at home in the Theatre of Dreams but I must admit I was disappointed with their performance against newly promoted side Birmingham (Tigers). For all their huffing and puffing, they could only put in one goal into the Tigers’ net. Only Rooney was a threat to the Tigers.

Without devastating striker Ronaldo and Tevez the sting has gone out of the MU’s strike force.

Maybe it’s early days yet, and this could be a knee-jerk reaction but i am prepared to put my head on the chopping block to say that MU won’t be able to retain its crown.

MU just don’t have enough players of formidable calibre to scare the opposition. In other words, bar Rooney, the rest look ordinary. And even Rooney sporadically looks ordinary when he allows himself a temper tantrum or two!

  1. They are a lot faster and quicker without Ronaldo. The Red Devils will be fine. They have a real shot at making it a four-peat. Ronaldo isa great regular season player but when the chips are down he disappears. http://bobbygee.wordpress.com/

  2. Thanks for sharing your views. MU might just prove me wrong. It’s a long haul, and things can change.
