Punggol East By-Election: vote out PAP Duplicity and Hypocrisy

Once again the drama of another by-election excites Singaporeans of all shades of opinion. PAP mouthpiece, the ever faithful lapdog Shitty Times, confidently predicts a victory for the incumbent and is strenuously promoting the PAP at every opportunity.

Confirms once again I was right to have boycotted what is fundamentally a party newspaper.
The people of Punggol must send a strong signal to the ruling regime that Singaporeans by and large are tired of the PAP’s duplicity and hypocrisy. The latest example of the PAP’s duplicity and hypocrisy is AIMGate.

I am not going to bore people by repeating what is by now a well -publicized example of PAP’s duplicity and hypocrisy.

Those who have been hiding under a stone so to speak can turn to influential socio-political blogs like TR Emeritus and Online Citizen for enlightenment.

The PAP is a good…no…excellent example of the adage Power corrupts and absolute power corrupts absolutely. Without effective checks and balances it scorned public opinion, and now faces accusations of tyranny, cronyism and nepotism.

In response, PAP silences dissent with law suits. Before the era of the internet, it could hide the truth like a PAP two dollar company (AIM).

Singaporeans are smarter than you think. They worry about their CPF, unaffordable HDB housing, escalating public transport fares, high utilities cost and the rising cost of living.

Voting in an opposition party in Punggol East will not solve everything immediately for sure. But a strong signal will be sent to the PAP that Singaporeans want an accountable government and independent public institutions.

With its core value of DUPLICITY AND HYPOCRISY, PAP has duped Singaporeans for years. “You can fool all the people some of the time, and some of the people all the time, but you cannot fool all the people all the time.” — Abraham Lincoln

PAP Shame: PAP slammed proposals to help the elderly poor financially as misguided but voted themselves million-dollar ministerial salaries by raiding the national coffers.
