Punggol East By-Election: Workers Party Wins

Heartiest congrats to Workers Party on winning the Punggol East by-election!!

Pre-election sweeteners, a customary PAP strategy, like an expansion of the MRT lines and more covered walkways failed to fool voters. The existing problems with transport, escalating housing and car prices, foreigners being favoured with scholarships at the expense of local students, the flood of foreigners displacing locals in jobs and driving up prices are some of the unresolved issues that continue to frustrate Singaporeans.

Added to this is a ruling party whose core value of repression remains unchanged. Its bad habit of sending lawyer letters with the threat of defamation suits is a clear indication of its repressive nature.

Lip service statements and stirring declarations now fail to fool people when they realise that the core of the ruling regime is rotten.

I salute the people of Punggol East. They will be the catalyst for change.

50 years of repressive and bullying rule must end.

The writing is on the wall for the PAP. The resentment against them is overwhelming.

Right thinking Singaporeans await the domino effect come GE 2016 to
to sweep away the GRCs and with them those who shamelessly entered Parliament via the back door.

Let’s reclaim our country.

To lose TWO by-elections in 8 months is the clearest indication yet the PAP is on the decline.

In the memorable words of Abraham Lincoln:

“You can fool all the people some of the time, and some of the people all the time, but you cannot fool all the people all the time.”
