Protest against 6.9 million: Hong Lim Park Protest

At 5:30 pm people were still streaming in to participate in what is billed as the largest public protest since independence.

By 5:30 pm the crowd had swelled to an estimated 5000.

I came at 4 and noticed the huge difference by then..

Every vantage point was occupied with many spilling on the pavement outside.

The rain failed to dampen enthusiasm to show support.

Up to 2 hours they stood firm with rain streaming down their faces. Nobody quit.

Well done Singaporeans!

We were not empty vessels after all.

They came in wheelchairs too.

Loud and clear NO from this family.

The young say No too.
