Protest against 6.9 million: Protest at Hong Lim Park Part 3

For three hours they stood, their spirit unfazed by the intermittent rain and muddied field.

Everyone felt they were part of a historic moment.

The organisers took pains to stress that it was not an anti-foreigner protest gathering but one against government policies.

To conclude the day’s momentous event, the National Anthem was sung. I have never heard the anthem being sung with such verve and feeling.

Many enthusiastically signed a petition against the White Paper.

A press conference with the international press was held with all the speakers.

I’m proud of all those who attended to show their support and stayed the course to the end.

Stand up for Singapore!
